We'd like to introduce you to Frederic Chopin Barr :)

So first of all, I know it's been a little while since we've posted on here. Things have been a little crazy, but in a very good way!

I'm sure you all have seen me posting about wanting a kitty cat for some time now. Well, I'm excited to let you know that we have adopted a very special kitty and we named him "Frederic"

Here's the story...

A couple of weeks ago, on a sunny afternoon I saw this little guy lounging on the back porch...

I had been playing Chopin pretty much non-stop that day in the house (listening, not playing, thought I should clear that up :) so I thought "Oh, maybe he heard the music and came closer to listen to it and relax on the back porch"....

Day after day he would be around, I'd go outside and he would be waiting on me. He was always there. I noticed how friendly he was right off the bat, and his sweet and calm personality...

I had seen him around the neighborhood for a while off and on for a while, but he had never come up to us, nor had he ever spent so much time on the back porch like this. Asked around and he didn't belong to anybody around the neighborhood. I think someone dropped him off when he was a young little guy. I decided that I would call him "Frederic" because he came to visit while I was playing Chopin.

Jason has never liked cats. It would seriously take a special cat for Jason to agree to take him in and give him a home. I hoped that Frederic would eventually grow on Jason, and sure enough, he did! One afternoon after I had pretty much given up hope of getting to keep Frederic, I decided to see if I could find someone to give him a home. So after asking around, Jason sent me a txt message saying "Well.... you had better go ahead and check into getting Frederic his vaccines and an exam at the vet." I was literally in shock. :)

So as soon as I got the news, I called the vet, set him up an appointment for that day, picked up a pet carrier, ran home, put it together, put Frederic in it, ran to the vet (barely made it on time). The vet gave us the good news that Frederic is healthy and we scheduled him to be fixed ASAP. Gave him a good bath, trimmed his nails, and brought him to his brand new home :) It was the best feeling ever.

He's such a smart little guy, and he's learning very fast. It's been a few days now and he's already learned a ton and settling right in. His surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, so I'll be happy once he's through all of that and everything can go back to normal!

So I finally have my kitty cat :) Never thought I'd see the day, but I'm so glad it worked out this way because Frederic chose us. He came to us and decided he wanted to be with us. That makes me happy :)

He's finally learning to play! Jason got him this little snake/catnip toy that he loves...
