Wow, what an incredible time we had with these two! It started with a coffee date with Karissa + Jacob and their families, and then we all headed over to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Blowing Rock, NC for a little adventure. Not only did we get to hang out with the bride + groom, but also their whole families and it was so much fun! AND this Saturday is their big day - cannot wait! Happy Wedding Day, guys!
Brittany + Brian had a dream wedding up in the Blue Ridge Mountains last year during the beautiful Fall season. We loved getting to work with these guys through their whole wedding journey - from the engagement session, to the bridal session, to the wedding day! We think the world of these guys and loved how they put so much heart into having the wedding day of their dreams...

This Spring we had the opportunity to team up with a local group of North Carolina wedding professionals to collaborate on a unique and authentic styled shoot at Providence Cotton Mill in Maiden, NC...
For the concept and feel, and story of the shoot, we first and foremost wanted it to be "real", genuine and authentic, and in a sense "pure and simple", and so when selecting our models for the shoot, we wanted them to be a real-life couple with a beautiful story and great chemistry, and what a blessing it was to find our models, Saied and Jessica, who were absolute ROCK stars!

"Sweet, simple and true." - These words perfectly describe Emily + Mo's wedding day.
They said their vows in a sweet country church in early Springtime. It was the greatest honor to witness and capture the essence of their day. Every moment, every detail was meaningful and authentic.
You've probably heard both Emily + Mo on the radio. Emily is part of a family bluegrass band called The Bankesters, and Mo Pitney is a country music artist. They are absolutely beautiful together.
Thinking back on Abby + Aaron's wedding day.... beautiful tears of joy, heartfelt emotion, laughter, celebration, realness, and true love. These two and their loved ones enjoyed and celebrated their wedding day to the fullest, and it was absolutely beautiful.
Kendra + Jacob are the sweetest couple. When we first met them for coffee to talk about their wedding, we just fell in love with them!
When we first met Kendra, one of the first things that struck me about her is her sweet, gentle beauty. Kind and lovely, a bit of an "old soul", she loves vintage things and old photographs...
Wow. Whitney + Matthew's Elopement was positively dreamy. We had so much fun working with them! AND it was an extra special elopement because we had Hannah assist us and get us some really great behind the scenes GoPro video!
Bekah and Morrison's wedding day was epic. A wedding filled with creativity, humor, and authenticity is a dream to photograph! We had a blast working with these guys!
Bekah is a playwright, and TV writer/ producer (you may *grin* have heard of This is Us) and Morrison is an actor, known for Hart of Dixie, RocketJump: The Show, and Again.

Troy + Amy celebrated their wedding day at Overlook Barn, a beautiful spot in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The day was easygoing, heartwarming and real, filled with celebration, good cheer and good music. It was a taste of North Carolina mixed with Troy's Australian culture.
Nikki + Ryan said their vows in late summertime at River Run Farm in Valle Crucis, NC. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony along the banks of the Watauga River. The reception was in the barn, with live bluegrass music and a vintage-bohemian feel.
“We met in the USAF and have been together for 5 years now. My husband proposed to me at the Space needle in Seattle WA. We were in transit on our way to South Korea to do a year long tour there together. We had dinner at the restaurant and he proposed during the dinner. He asked me the question and I was so excited I didn’t even say yes! Haha I said DUH!!! He thought that was pretty funny.”

Jackie + David wanted their wedding to be outdoors, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and their family and friends. It was such an adventurous day, and a little bit of rain didn't stop them from enjoying the great outdoors!
“There is nothing more magical than standing in front of all of your friends and family in the presence of the Lord and saying, “I DO!” This by far was the most important part of the day, and why we had the people that supported us and shaped us throughout our lives there to celebrate. We were there to begin our covenant with God, and we were blessed to be able to do so in the most beautiful church. From there, we had so much fun dancing, eating, singing, and catching up with all of our loved ones. It was a perfectly beautiful day.”
