Megan + Harry: A Rustic Fairytale Wedding at White Fence Farm
Megan + Harry….. you guys are just too awesome for words. We just can’t express how much we enjoyed hanging out with you guys on your big day. Megan + Harry poured so much of themselves and who they are/what they love into their day and made it truly unique and special. It was such an honor to be there to celebrate with them, and we've so enjoyed getting to know them in the days leading up to the big day.
“We had been planning this wedding for the entire three years that we were engaged. Every weekend we went to thrift stores looking for glass pieces, lamps, and baskets. We had a blast! We (and all of the amazing friends and family who helped out) painted/stained/built/sewed/cleaned just about everything at our wedding, it was a true labor of love.” – Megan + Harry

“Once Megan had processed in and we were just standing there waiting for the music to finish, she looked and me and asked “you ready for this” and I responded “heck yeah!”. I just wanted to hug her.” – Harry

“My bouquet was easily my favorite thing that I created for the wedding. I had the idea right after we started planning and its one of the only things that turned out exactly how I thought it would. I created a fabric flower bouquet and overlaid photos of all of the family members that had passed away and couldn’t be there, so I literally carried them with me as I walked down the aisle.” – Megan
“I really liked our wedding favors. We made a CD of all of the love songs that meant something to us throughout our relationship and gave everyone a copy.” – Harry
Megan + Harry’s advice for other couples?
“Remember it is about a marriage, not just a wedding.”
“Nothing is ever perfect. So smile and enjoy the ride. Because it was raining I knew that getting from the farmhouse up to the ceremony site without getting soaked was going to be a challenge. So we took a 10x20 tarp, had one person holding it up on each corner, three people holding up my dress, and we walked together up the drive. It wasn’t at all how I pictured it, but it was amazing.” – Megan + Harry
“Necessity is the mother of invention- We knew the day before that it was going to be raining, so the ceremony was going to be in the tent. It hadn’t occurred to me that the tent would have a huge pole right in the middle, obstructing any kind of formal aisle that I could imagine. So instead of setting up the chairs normally we set them up in concentric circles around the center. It turned out amazing because I could see so many more guests, and we felt genuinely surround by love and support. Everything turns out the way that it is supposed to be.”
